An informative historical and critical overview of postwar abstract art in Eastern Europe, this catalogue features some 90 paintings, reliefs and sculptures by Henryk Stazewski, Ryszard Winiarski, Vaclav Bostik, Karel Malich, Dezso Korniss and six other artists whose works range from constructivist compositions to monochromatic gestural paintings and minimalist color field abstractions.
