This is an unabridged republication of the 1969 work, published under the title JIM WHITEWOLF: THE LIFE OF A KIOWA APACHE INDIAN. "In 1949-50, Jim Whitewolf told his story, partly in English, partly in Apache, to the ethnographer Charles Brant. Now entirely in English, Jim Whitewolf's autobiography has been reproduced as closely as possible to the way he presented it. The autobiography recalls the events of Jim Whitewolf's long life, interpreted according to his own emphases and values. ..
