Thakura, Bhaktivinoda : Sri Bhajana-rahasya
- description
- additional information
With preface by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati. Srila Bhaktivinoda gives hints of his own methods of bhajana (daily spiritual practices), in a transcendental realm beyond physical time and space. Each 24-hour day is divided into eight parts (asta-yama) with specific bhajana practice for each yama and a related development of faith, removal of anarthas, taste, attachment to Krishna, transcendental emotion, devotional love, etc. In each yama the corresponding intimate pastimes of Radha and Krishna are remembered. The Thakura quotes over 200 verses from a variety of authoritative sources to substantiate his presentation and conclusions. They are transliterated with diacritics, and indexed. Includes "Samksepa-arcana-paddhati," abbreviated guide to worship including mantras. Translated by Pundarika Vidyanidhi dasa.
