The text is illustrated with both bridge hands and the small black-and-white illustrations, illustrator not credited. Red coloured boards with black titles to the backstrip. Red coloured tint to the top text block edge. Bumping to the top backstrip edge and rubbing to the book corners. Shelf wear to the lower book edges. Light browning and foxing to the text block edges and to the endpapers and browning to the internal text. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. Illustrated dustwrapper with red background and white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and the results of insect activity can be seen to the rear fold over creas. Sunning to the backstrip and rear dustwrapper panel which also shows foxing and handling marks. There is a small, 0.25 ", tear to the top edge of the front dustwrapper panel. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. Browning and foxing to the verso of the dustwrapper. A book about bridge and bridge hands and how to play bridge, in a novel form. But also included are people that you will probably meet whilst playing bridge.
