(Natalia Lach-Lachowicz) – born 1937, Żywiec – died 2020, Poznań. In 1963 graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław (now the Academy of Fine Arts), under the guidance of Professor Stanisław Dawski. In 1970-1981, together with Andrzej Lachowicz, Zbigniew Dłubak and Antoni Dzieduszycki, she created the PERMAFO gallery, which, apart from organising exhibitions, also produced publications. This activity contributed greatly to the development of neo-avant-garde trends in Poland. Together with Andrzej Willem and Andrzej Lachowicz she organised the International Drawing Triennial. In 1975 she joined the international feminist art movement, taking part in numerous symposia and exhibitions. In May 2007 she was awarded the Silver Medal “Merited to Culture Gloria Artis”, in 2013 she received the Katarzyna Kobro Award – a distinction given to artists by artists, and in 2018 she was honoured with the Rosa Schapire Art Prize . Her works are classified as conceptualism, photo art and body art. She works in painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video, performance and drawing.
